The Department of German and Romance Languages and Literatures at Johns Hopkins University (http://grll.jhu.edu) seeks to fill the position of Assistant Professor of Italian Studies, tenure track. The preferred primary field will be modern Italian literature and/or cinema, with secondary interest’s related fields such as media studies or comparative literature. The successful application will have a proven track record of research and teaching. Moreover, the search committee is committed to hiring candidates who, through their research, teaching, and/or service will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
QUALIFICATIONS
PhD in Italian, comparative literature, or related field, evidence of excellent teaching and scholarly potential, native or near native fluency in Italian and English.
