The Department of Modern Languages and Literature at Gonzaga University is seeking an instructor to teach elementary Italian using a communicative approach. The successful candidate will have the enthusiasm, classroom presence and skills to engage students in their language learning. S/he will be fully responsible for lesson planning, implementation of lessons, assessment in conformity with the Italian program learning outcomes, and submission of grades. S/he will also need to be available to students for office hours for one hour per week.
Minimum Qualifications: • MA or equivalent in Italian or related field
• An established teaching expertise
• Advanced proficiency in Italian language
